MOUNTAIN BIKING DO'S AND DON'TS.
10 Things to Remember.
Make sure that your bike is in good working order before you leave home.
Let someone know where you are going, what time you expect to be home
If possible keep next of kin contact details on your person in case of an accident.
Always Wear a helmet
Carry water, a small first aid kit, a basic puncture repair kit and change of clothes.
Bring a map and compass if necessary, and know how to use them.
Leave the trails as you would wish to find them - take any/all rubbish home with you.
Be courteous towards other users –
especially on any trails where shared use applies.
Stick to the correct trails. If you see anyone using any of the trails incorrectly or illegally, report it to either the forestry commission or the police.
Don’t go “off piste”, unless you are capable of or permitted to doing so.
OH AND ONE MORE THING .....
Have fun – you may get a little muddy – but those kinds of rides are the best!
